SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY

Projects

The village action plan outlines the intended activity for the village over the next few years.

Projects that are currently in progress or under consideration are:

MUGA - *breaking news*

Barnack School are moving forward with plans for a MUGA and planning permission has now been obtained.

Meetings are now being held between the School, the architects and the parish council to finalise designs and agree timelines. The hope is that the project will be completed by late autumn.

Discussions are also taking place relating to the management of the MUGA once it is installed, to ensure the site is used responsibly.

Once built, the local community, including all the villages in Barnack Ward, will be able to book to use the facility outside of school hours i.e. from about 4pm on school days, every weekend and all day during the school holidays.

Traffic Calming

Plans with Highways are ongoing - please speak to a member of the parish council for an update.

Community Shop

Residents remain keen for a shop facility within the village, pending finding a suitable location.
